He is a Mechanical Engineer and Welding Engineer. He possesses comprehensive technical expertise in industrial boiler technologies, heat processes, and flow measurement systems. He began his professional career at Selnikel A.Ş., one of Turkey’s long-established industrial boiler manufacturers, where he actively participated in engineering processes for the process design, equipment selection, and field applications of high-capacity steam, hot water, and thermal oil boilers.
He continued his technical knowledge gained at Selnikel within Endress+Hauser, a global reference in flow measurement and process instrumentation, where he developed deep application knowledge in process analysis, device selection, and application engineering. During this period, he adopted a work approach focused on technical accuracy and consultancy, providing engineering-based guidance to customers.
As a founder of TORCH Industrial Systems, Muharrem aims to provide reliable and sustainable solutions that comply with technical standards in boiler systems and flow measurement technologies. Enver Sönmez, a Mechanical Engineer, has a strong technical background in maintenance engineering, equipment management, and process continuity in heavy industry and power generation facilities. He began his professional career at Diler Holding – Diler Iron and Steel, where he managed preventive and predictive maintenance processes for critical process equipment such as Electric Arc Furnaces, Ladle Furnaces, automatic charging systems, steel mill overhead cranes, and crushing-screening units. During this period, he gained extensive field experience in fault analysis, corrective action planning, maintenance team coordination, and spare parts management.
Subsequently, he reinforced his expertise in mechanical maintenance for power generation facilities by working on turbine maintenance activities and heavy machinery maintenance processes at Limak Holding – Kemerköy Thermal Power Plant.Since 2017, he has taken on management roles in family businesses, assuming responsibility for operational process planning and business development activities.
As a co-founder of TORCH Industrial Systems, Enver Sönmez makes significant contributions to reliable operation, sound maintenance strategies, and sustainable process management by integrating his technical knowledge and engineering discipline, gained in harsh process conditions, into the company’s engineering approach.
